Jennings Rivers Ride

Sunday 25th May 2014 – RESCHEDULED EVENT from 2013

The third Jennings Rivers Ride Cycle Sportive Challenge Event  will be held in Cumbria on Sunday 25th May 2014.  The Jennings Rivers Ride includes four stunning bike routes for cyclists of all abilities. Rather Be Cycling are organising these events on behalf of the Cumbria Community Foundation.

Cycle Sportives are long distance, organised, mass participation cycling events and The Jennings Rivers Ride passes through some of the finest scenery and cycling terrain in the UK.  Starting, and finishing, in Keswick, The Jennings Rivers Ride traces the path of the devastating effects of the 2009 Cumbrian floods from the heart of the Lake District all the way to the Irish Sea.  Sections of the various routes follow the affected river courses and criss-cross over many of the bridges that were either destroyed (and replaced) or were badly damaged during the floods.

Last year the event attracted over 1000 cyclists, so be sure to enter early and guarantee your place.
